Task: In 2016, the National Museum of Denmark began to collect objects from Greek refugee camps and Danish asylum centres to display in their temporary exhibition ‘På Flugt’ (‘Flight for Life’). The exhibition travelled through Europe, focusing on refugees and their experiences as they escape from their home country fleeing to Denmark.
To complement this powerful exhibition, the National Museum wanted a Virtual Reality installation that could show the harsh reality of these camps. Khora helped them produce a 360º video that was shot at a refugee camp in Lesvos, Northern Greece and at a temporary tent camp in Thisted, Denmark.
